15 February 2016 - Monster Magnet - Negasontic Teenage Warhead

Did you see the Deadpool movie this weekend?

No.  I didn't.  But those who did know why I am posting this, without reading on.  But you will read on, because I am about to drop knowledge.

You see, Negasonic Teenage Warhead is the name of a character from the X-Men.  Specifically, she was featured in New X-Men #115, from 2001 and ONLY that issue.  Because she didn't survive it.  However, her obscure name was so eye-poppingly cool that those behind the Deadpool movie chose to adapt this as a character for their new mythology.

This hard-rocking song has absolutely no basis in the comics.  It is, in fact from 1995, and was about the negativity of the grunge scene that was starting to wind down at that time.  But Grant Morrison, comic book artist, was a fan of Monster Magnet and this song.... and so he immortalized it by creating a character of the same name.

We know you stuck around this long because you wanted a live version.  Well, here it is.
